BENDER DAY
10

The Final Chapter

And there (or <HERE>) you have it - the complete Bender Day invitation experience.  The final one that you will ever receive, so I hope you've enjoyed it.

Please mark you calendars for Saturday November 1st.

Being the final Bender Day, Mike and I have decided to go out in a blaze of glory...our plan is to begin at 9:00am at the Dark Horse Tavern, and catch up with the "main tour" around the 2nd bar...if Mike's heart holds out!  But, don't worry, Jessica, Stacy and The Balz Man (oh...that's right...not "John, my Sociology Professor"...) will kick off the main festivities at 3:00 at The Cherry Street Tavern.  The rest of the itinerary can be found below.  For those of you new to Philadelphia, or just to Bender Day, a Web 2.0 map (!!!) can be found HERE to help you navigate the crawl

        1.  Cherry Street Tavern (129 N 22nd St)
        2.
Mace's Crossing (1714 Cherry St)
        3.  Nodding Head
(1516 Sansom Street)
        4.  Finn Maccool's
(118 S 12th Street)
        5.  Fergie's Pub
(1214 Sansom St)

Since this is the last Bender Day, I'd also like to take some time out to thank everyone that has helped over the years to make it such a success:

  • Matt T Party Animal, for helping establish Bender Week, and laying the groundwork for the quasi-holiday we've all celebrated low these many years
  • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Sparky K, for hosting the initial Bender Day invite so ineptly, thus leading to the launch and overwhelmingly successful IPO of Lakeside-Park.com, a true giant of the internet age
  • Stacy, for taking it upon herself who knows how many years ago to steal supplies from her office...and keep on stealing...to supply our lanyards year-in and year-out
  • Mike Cunningham for strolling past The Copa, and into my heart
  • The Wharton Business School - enjoy those analyst jobs now douche bags!!
  • The Trappist Monks and their Chimay - GRAND RESERVE - ONLY THE GRAND RESERVE
  • Conshohocken Trophy engraving
  • Tailgate Russ
  • Oh! Sheas, on behalf of the Xerox Corporation
  • All our homies from back in the day at Who's On Third - YOU'RE MY BOY BLUE!!!
  • Matt R for TOTALLY dropping the ball on this whole thing
  • J DeAngelo, for taking over programming of the invites, after a couple years of my disastrous attempts
  • Armsy
  • My lovely wife Jessica, for not only putting up with all of this, but agreeing to take control this year...and in doing so, agreeing to take the 1:20 R3 train from Philmont, and meet Stacy (who we all know is flighty!) at Suburban Station at 2:00...then going to check into the hotel.  THANKS HONEY!
  • And, lastly, I'd like to thank myself, for continually being so boss!
